  • January 16: Deadline for students to enter the competition. Students can either apply through this form or email Gabriela Morales directly at gabriela@thedec.co

  • January 26: Pitch Deck due

  • January 31: Students introduced to their coaches. Students are required to meet coach at least twice before pitch practice (can be virtual or in person between February 1-16)

  • February 22: In person pitch practice at the DEC network at Redbird

  • February 26: Final Pitch Deck due

In an era where the decisions we make today shape the world of tomorrow, the role of young voters in the democratic process cannot be overstated. It is crucial to motivate and engage young people in voting and government.

  • Young people (18-29 years old) make up an increasingly significant portion of the voting-age population.

  • Historically, youth voter turnout has been lower than other age groups. This discrepancy highlights an untapped reservoir of voices that, when activated, can significantly impact the trajectory of our nation.
